Current Events

The New Bern Outdoor Adventure Club will be heading to Hanging Rock State Park from June 4-7, 2026 for a weekend of camping, hiking, and fun. 

Hanging Rock State Park is located about 30 miles north of Winston Salem, at 1790 Hanging Rock State Park Road, Danbury, NC.

Arrive by Thursday, June 4th by 3PM to set up camp.  Friday June 5th and Saturday June 6th will be dedicated to hiking some of the 20+ miles of trails in the park, and/or relaxing at your campsite.  All hikes are optional.  On Sunday, June 7th, it will be time to pack up and head home. Checkout at Hanging Rock Campground is 12PM. 

Note:  If campers wish to drive up on Friday, rather than Thursday, that is also an option.  

Participants will need to make their own reservations and should have all equipment for camping, cooking, and hiking.

Important!!  Sign up/Registration with NBOAC prior to this trip is mandatory and all non- NBOAC member participants must sign a NBOAC waiver upon registering.
